Do you work with early-stage startups or only established companies?
Primarily mid-to-large companies with operational complexity — but we do take on product-stage startups when the problem is genuinely interesting and the founding team has domain depth. If you're pre-seed, be upfront and we'll give you an honest answer in the first call.
How quickly can a squad be up and running?
A Squad as a Service engagement typically starts within 7–10 business days of signing. We don't pull from a bench of available bodies — we configure the team to match your stack and roadmap, which takes a few days but saves weeks of misalignment downstream.
Do you sign NDAs before discussing project details?
Yes, always and without friction. A mutual NDA is our default starting position — not something you have to negotiate for. We can turn one around within the same business day if needed.
What's the minimum engagement size?
It depends on the type of work. Consulting engagements (due diligence, architecture review) start from a few days of effort. End-to-end product builds or long-running squads are scoped individually. We'll tell you candidly in the discovery call whether what you need fits our model.
We already have an internal tech team — can Devio work alongside them?
Absolutely — this is actually where we add the most leverage. Whether that means embedding a senior architect, leading a specific workstream, or providing CTO-level oversight while your team executes, we're set up to collaborate without ego or territory disputes.
Do you work in English for international clients?
Yes. Documentation, calls, code comments and deliverables are all available in English. We have active experience working across Brazilian, European and North American clients and adapt our communication rhythm accordingly.
